What are the best cell phones for business? Why choosing the wrong one can leave you distressed.
When it comes to running my own business, I have found that the services I choose can make my life easy or go way off into the deep sea of the opposite end.
Recently I was in that dilemma myself, it was time to upgrade my new junk phone and go for one with all the bells and whistles. And it couldn’t have come at a better time, Samsung and Apple were both coming out with new phones with great features.
Are you an iPhone person?
I can tell you off the bat that Apple is not my favorite, but with their new products coming out like the iPhone 6 Plus, I was willing to listen.
Ever since the new iPhone came out I was skeptical and always found different products to use. And that is when I started using Android. I have always found them to be more customizable and easier to use.
Also, I am not a phone or gadget geek by any means. I can tell you that I am writing this on my HP laptop and that’s about it.
So the answer is no, I am not an iPhone or Apple person, but I do like their new products and all of the cool tech gadgets.
Samsung vs Apple
Personally I have found through all of my research that Samsung has passed Apple as setting the stage for all of the new phone technology. But what I really discovered is to find what works best for you and go with it.
Last year I received a hand me down iPad from my family and I can tell you that I pretty much hate it. I find Apple to be hard to use and confusing. Which to me is odd, since the sole purpose behind all of their platforms is to be user friendly.
But this year it was my turn to upgrade and find something that would blow my socks off! The new Galaxy Note 5 came out and I was so pumped up for it. I mean really, I was excited for a phone?!
It actually took me back to 1985 when the first Air Jordans by Nike came out and that was all I wanted for Christmas.
When you do a comparison I have found the best cell phones for business are:
- Galaxy 6 – The best of the new technology with a smaller sized screen
- Galaxy 6 Edge – The best of the Galaxy 6 with a cool upgrade of the side bar screen
- Galaxy Note 5 – A bigger phone, bigger screen, power pen, awesome camera, and more
Personally I love the features of the Note 5 and the pen attachment. The screen is a little big for my pocket, but you won’t hear me complaining when I’m getting great visuals watching a moving on the treadmill.
The camera and the HD is unbelievable! You will be impressed.
The best part for me is the compatibility with Microsoft Office and my Nextbook. I use my phone to run my entire business and having the ability to view my files on OneDrive (Microsofts Cloud Platform) makes life easy.
If you use office, PDF’s, review contracts, or just are a PC person, then the Samsung products will integrate you business with ease.
When compared to the Apple products, I really couldn’t get on board. Knowing that it was just a smaller version of the iPad I couldn’t stand just made me stay with Android and go with the Galaxy Note 5.
One of my clients recently hopped on a sale and switched his wireless carrier for his business. He was excited to save a ton of money and figured all the carriers were the same. Unfortunately for him, that is not the case!
Now he can’t get calls in the office and his reception out of the office is hit and miss. He was completely happy before, he just wanted to save a buck. Ask him now if it was a big mistake….absolutely!
Saving money should not be the only reason behind your business decisions. Think about the worst alternative and decide if it really is worth that choice.
Don’t let this happen to you. If you are not a Samsung or Apple person and are looking to save some scratch, don’t do it! You will only regret your decision.
Personally, I find that Samsung and the Galaxy phones are the best cell phones for business hands down. Whichever one you choose may come down to personal preference, but think about how it will integrate with your whole PC network.
