High Speed Blender vs Juicer
I grew up in the midwest on the meat and potatoes diet. So needless to say I have trouble getting in my fruits, veggies, and leafy greens. And if you are trying to lose weight for the summer, lean down for a wedding, or just lose weight and get in shape – greens are the way to go!
When I decided to start juicing, my goal was to get the vitamins and nutrients from vegetables and fruit that I have trouble getting in my diet.
I saw a commercial for a juicer and thought, that was the way to go…boy was I wrong!
Juicer Pro’s and Con’s
Juicers – There are a couple of juicer’s on the market and the one I started with was the Jack Lalane Juicer. It started off great, and I was hooked on blending my fruits and veggies and making tasty drinks.
Juicers extract the juice and water out of your fruits and veggies
They extract all the fiber and good vitamins and minerals you need from the fruits and veggies. Which in a sense, is taking away the benefit of why you started in the first place.
It is a pain in the butt to clean! So much so, I stopped juicing because I didn’t want to clean it anymore!
Then I discovered high speed blenders!
But which one should I choose? Let’s break it down…
Here is the goal:
- Add protein, veggies, and fruit to your diet in a fun and convenient way
- Don’t break the bank! I don’t want to spend $500 on a blender

Nutribullet vs Ninja Pro – The Winner?
Pesonally, I love my Nutribullet! I like the extra jars and containers it provided, it takes up very minimal counter space, and I have a choice in blades.
I use it on a daily basis for blending vegetables and making protein shakes. Nuts and seeds are a great source of protein and the emulsifying blade turns it into dust. That makes it blend well and you don’t have chunks in your shake.
I also use the Nutribullet to make hummus! It doubles as a food processor and cleans in a flash.
Either one you choose will be a great purchase and I highly recommend a high speed blender over a juicer.
Each one of these blenders are convenient, easy to clean, and affordably priced.
