Finding the NextBook 10 was like getting a $100 bill from the tooth fairy…way more than I expected!!
My journey to finding the Nextbook 10 really came when my mobile laptop was on the brink of crashing. That or just a drop away from abomination.
In my business I am always on go! I work in the office and on the road. And sometimes it seems that I am on the go more and more, and need a mobile laptop. For this purpose I was using my old clunker of a machine because if it was ever stolen, it would be a blessing for me and a curse for the poor fool whole stole the damn thing.
In my home office I keep my fully capable computer with all the bells and whistles, a ton of storage, and plenty of operating speed. But for the road, I wanted something that was simple, compact, and could get the job done running basic operations.
And so began my simple journey that led to my Nextbook 10 reviews.
Cutting out the Clutter
First of all, I do have an iPad and although I just don’t like apple I tried to make it work. However, it just didn’t meet my needs when it came to running office and keeping up with speed.
So then began my journey, I wanted to find:
- A laptop that would be a computer first before a tablet
- Something small and compact
- Operate windows with ease and have great keyboard operations
- Not break the bank
So here is what I found:
Microsoft Surface Pro
I always thought if I was to get a surface, the pro would be the way to go! But, since I only need simple functions, I didn’t want to break the bank to get what I needed.
The closest surface that I could get would come in at $499
I came across this device and thought my prayers had been answered. It was a more simplified version of the surface, had a better keyboard like a laptop, and rang up for $299.
Boom, I was almost sold! Then as I was reading the details, I caught a gaze from the Nextbook 10.
It was almost like in Christmas Vacation when Clark spots that glow of his new tree! Yes son, that’s going in our living room…
Nextbook 10 Reviews: 4.8 out of 5
The Nexbook 10 was just what I wanted…almost like I gave Microsoft a custom order for my next device.
- Size:10.1″ high resolutions display with a detachable fold able POGO keyboard
- Processor: quad-core Intel Atom based processor
- Operating System: Windows 8.1 with a Windows 10 Free upgrade
- Memory: 32GB internal memory and the option to expand to 64 GB more.
- Microsoft Office: Get one year free of Office 365 and use OneDrive to share files with your home computer
- Price: $178
In addition to all this, there are two USB ports and a mini HDMI drive. Finally, great access to a mini computer without a hefty price tag.
If you are on the go, you really can get it done with this awesome device! It has all the internet functions of a laptop, with the size and convenience of a tablet (that functions like a computer).
Weird I know, but it really works!
When I settled into the Nextbook, I was used to a big clunker of a laptop. Because of this I actually have to check my bag to see if the NB is still with me! It weighs about as much as a legal pad and is smaller than normal. It may take a bit to get used to, but this is not a problem I mind having at the moment.
With all that awesome, I guess you do have to have something you couldn’t fit. The mouse pad is not the best and opens the door to give your cursor a mind of its own. However, that is an easy fix with a portable mouse.
My Honest Nextbook 10 reviews
This device is perfect not only for students, but for someone who is on the go, travels frequently, or needs a second device.
For under $200 you really can’t beat the performance and convenience of this device!!
The Nextbook 10 is not a cheaper version of a laptop, it just won’t have the capacity you need.
