My new wave oven reviews will tell you all you need to know so you can decide if this countertop sensation will be your next addition to your kitchen!
When you see the New Wave Oven on TV, it makes it look like a really awesome and functional foodmaker to add to your kitchen. And I can tell you that it really is fantastic!
I will admit that I did not purchase the NWO, rather it was a gift from the family. They must have known that I prep my meals each week and often times run out of space and time.
What is the New Wave Oven?
From the infomercial they claim…
- You can cook a whole turkey
- Cook frozen chicken lickity split
- Save a ton of time from the conventional oven
And does it do what they claim?? Well, kind of and I will get to that in a minute.
The NWO uses infared technology to cook your homeade goodies to save time, and make cooking fun and easy. My favorite part of this new great appliance is that it centralized the heat to the unit and it doesn’t smell up the house.
Personally, I prep chicken breasts each week for my weekly meals and I cook up to 4 lbs at a time. I have used a crock pot, the bbq grill, the conventional oven, and now my awesome New Wave Oven.
If I am short on time and my meat isn’t frozen the NWO works perfect. It really does have some great advantages that I didn’t know were available on the market, so lets get into it!
My New Wave Oven Reviews: The Good
Personally I have not used the NWO for all of its gadgets. It has some really great baking utensils and I imagine you can bake in a flash. The truth is I am not a baker and will probably never use all of the fun stuff.
Mostly I used the oven to cook chicken and have cooked 4 large breasts at the same time frozen or raw.
According to the commercial, you can cook a frozen breast in 13 minutes. Thats great, but I’m not digging this beast out of the basement for one chicken breast!
The temperature max’s out at 350 degress so it is not like oven. I found that if I have frozen meat, it doesn’t save anymore time than the conventional oven. However, my wife doesn’t eat meat and hates it when the house smells like a chicken factory. And the NWO doesn’t let out any smell. It pretty much keeps everything under the lid. Which gives me lots of bonus points with the wife.
Another great point is that it cleans up really well. You can just throw the main racks in the dishwasher and you are good to go.
Best time to use the NWO:
- In place of the crock pot for meat only recipes
- Thanksgiving if you need an extra oven
- Baking fun things with the kids or grandkids
- Easy to use: Select time and temp and press start!
- Comes with an extender for larger cooking (a plus)
- Packs well for storage
My New Wave Oven Reviews: The Not So Good
This thing is a beast! It won’t fit under your counter unless your under the counter space is your basement.
When it comes to batch cooking, which is why I use it, the conventional oven does the same job and sometimes better.
If you don’t use cooking spray, your clean up will be a chore…and in that case, just use the regular oven.
Overall, there are not too many improvements needed on the NWO. For single servings, it cooks food fast and doesn’t sacrifice taste.
My New Wave Oven Reviews: My Conclusion
If you are looking for an extra portable oven, this will be perfect for you! It would be awesome for cooking on a camping trip, in an apartment, or when you need an extra oven for entertaining. Just beware when storing it!
The food I have cooked in the NWO turned out deliscious! I was very impressed and very surprised. However, this oven is my second choice to my conventional oven. There are no real added benefits when it comes to saving time or cleaning up. The cook time is the same, except the NWO doesn’t need to be preheated.
I did receive the NWO as a gift and if I was to purchase one myself I absolutly would. It is a great appliance and a great addition to my kitchen.
I hope My New Wave Oven Reviews helped your buying decision. This is simply my experience with the oven and an honest review.
