Get Fit 303 (and Bodhi) go to the 2016 Jodi’s Race Awareness for Ovarian Cancer!
Saturday was my second race for the cure for Jodi’s Race and it was great! There were a ton of people there walking, running, and jogging to support the research for a deadly disease that affects so many.
If you did not know, last year was the first race we participated in to support some of the Get Fit 303 family and this cause. It went so well, we even donated to this charity on Colorado Gives Day 2015!
And this year, I was excited to introduce Bodhi, our 2 year old pup, to the race and walk for the cure.
As far as 5ks go, this is absolutely one of my favorites! It happens every year in City Park and has a wonderful following and support.
It is even dog friendly with a nice mid race break in the fountains of City Park! The race path is mostly shaded which is good for the pups and to block some of the Colorado sun. However, this year I can absolutely say that my favorite part was being able to bring Bodhi and let him experience this together with some of his fur friends he met along the way. That and being part of Judys team, Darbys Angels, which raised close to $2000!
I look forward to supporting this race in the future and will definitely encourage anyone who is considering this race, to support the cause and join our team.
If you missed the opportunity to join us, but still want to donate, go to the Jodi’s Race website and donate in the name of Darby’s Angels!
Thank you for all who participated and worked the Jodi’s Race Awareness 2016, it was a fantastic event and huge success.
Until next year….
