Setting a weight loss goal is great, but make it actionable and break it down. If your big goal is to lose 50lbs, then set a goal of 1 or 2 lbs a week by the end of the month. And then set an action to it like a great 30 minute workout everyday.
To make that action sick, you must also change your mindset from I hate to workout to after my workout, I can relax.
Tip: Put your mindset towards health and exercise, your habits and waistline will soon follow.

2 Green It Up
Leafy greens are the key to weight loss! Pick up a good blender for under a hundred bucks on Amazon and get to it!
Tip: Blend kale, spinach, collard greens, plus some fruit and seeds!
3 Detox Yo’self
If you really want to lose weight fast and need a kick start, try a short detox cleanse. However, don’t use this as a quick fix, use it to kick start the beginning of a healthy lifestyle. Cleanses are are great way to get out the products of a bad diet and replace it will good vitamins and nutrients.

Preparing your food ahead of time will not only help you shave unwanted pounds, but will also help you save money. And I am not talking leftover pizza! Prepare your meals for the week with a good balance of maronutrients (protein, carbs, and fat).
Tip: Get back in the kitchen and start cooking whole grained food!
5 Consistent Effort Yields Consistent Results
You don’t have to be perfect! Even if you try going paleo, just try it during the work week and fudge a bit on the weekend. If you are doing one thing each week to move the needle, then you are succeeding.
Once you hit 40, things take a bit more time and we need to be consistent with our efforts. If you can create good habits, you will start to head down the path to successful weight loss.
