Are your ready to learn how to create a personal training website in 10 minutes? Yes, it really is that easy.
Setting you website up is actually the easy part, but putting up a few blurbs about:
- Your business
- Who you want to help/train
That is the most time consuming part!
When I began this process 2 years ago, I started with Wix and it was a big mistake. I spent hours trying to format my website so it looked pretty and functioned well.
Ugh…I ain’t got time for that, I have to go train!
Should I Hire A Web Designer?
Only if you like to throw away your hard earned money. I was reading a blog this week about how to create a personal training website and I was blown away with all the suggestions that people gave to hiring a web design company.

I get business from it!
How to Create a Personal Training Website 10 minutes
Ok, here is a quick step by step on how to do this. The biggest expense is your hosting that you can get between $4 and $10 depending on what program you choose.
The domains are cheap…the first one you can usually get for under a buck or if its expensive it will be about ten bucks a year.
Start the timer…
Buy a domain – I recommend GoDaddy because it is easy to use and you can always find a sale on your first domain.
Use either your name or a business name that people can remember. I started with justinwilliamsfitness.com until I realized I don’t want my name plastered all over the web. Also, if you become a huge success down the road it is harder to sell.
That is why I went with GetFit303.com. Its short and easy to remember, which makes local marketing easier.
You can also choose a .fitness address, but I find that is a little more expensive.
I have been using HostGator for years and I chose the Baby plan that gives me great benefits.
Change your DNS – This is about the only technical part you need to know. Once you get your hosting you will get a DNS email. You DNS is your domain name server, which doesn’t matter, you just need to point your Domain from GoDaddy to your HostGator or Blue Host account.
Here’s the easy way to do this on GoDaddy: Click on my account>Domains>Choose your domain>Nameservers>Manage or Change Nameservers
Then paste in the name servers from your hosting welcome email.
Install WordPress from your Hosting account. When you log in to your hosting account you can install word press and they will give you an access code. Then you will have the basic format of setting up your website.
Pick a Theme! Once you have wordpress installed you will need to pick a word press theme that will be the overall look and feel of your website. Go into your site, click on appearance> Themes. They have a ton of free themes to get your started.
Boom…you are done!
Now you actually have a website up and running in 5 easy steps!
Now it’s time to create some content. Here are a few things to get you started…
Create a few pages on the following:
- About page – Talk about you and let the reader get to know you with your history and why you can help them. It’s ok to get personal here!
- Testimonials – Most people will click on your testimonial to see if you are getting results. Put as many up as you can!
- Home page – List what results you offer like a 21 day shred, or post natal melt down. Sell yourself with results…the way you train (strenght, trx, etc.) is just the vehicle to get there.
Ok, it may seem that I ran through this really fast because it may be new to you. But, if you stick with it you will have a great site up in a week or so. Once you get your content up, it’s easier than 3# curls!
Holy smokes, you just created a website in 10 minutes AND got a ton of other helpful hints for free! Not to shabby…
