Why A Blog Is You Best Way To Attract Personal Training Clients
First of all, if you have a website or are working on a website…stop! I had a website and it did nothing for my but waste time. I knew a trainer that had a website (that he spent a ton of $$ for) and received not one phone call.
However, since I have had my fitness blog running, I attract personal training clients on a consistent basis. The cool part is, it actually looks like a website, but took half the time and is more effective.
Now when people search for a Personal Trainer in the local area I will come up as one of the top results. Then when they get to my blog, I give them an offer they can’t refuse and viola, I have a new email to respond to when I am waiting between clients.
Now that is what I call the best client attraction system around! One that gets the job done while I am training.
Attract Personal Training Clients From Around The Globe
Some fitness bloggers may do it different than I, but whatever works for you will be your key to success. As I have mentioned before, I have two blogs:
- One that is a Personal Training business blog – This one operates like a website and only needs a few tweaks from time to time
- One that is a Fitness blog that reaches anyone anywhere…online – This is where I promote overall fitness and health and earn commissions for fitness products I recommend.
What’s the real difference? Well, people find my business blog when they are searching for a trainer in the local area, see my website on the back of one of my clients shirts, or from my Free Yelp Listing.
Other than that, you won’t really find it. However, given that small local niche, I get enough traffic and new business to continue growing year after year.
How To Attract Personal Training Clients

- Fitness Contest Preparation
Although these are not my specialties, it is something that could attract more clients through a fitness blog. Personally, I get enough business through a business blog and I chose to expand my reach through a fitness blog.
Either way can be effective, it just depends on your expertise.

If you are a great personal trainer and that is all you want to do, then DO IT! A business blog that gets you more people from the local area will help you grow and expand your business. And, once you get it up and running, you won’t have to do much more to keep it active.
As I have gotten older, I found that I like to help people start their fitness business and not waste time and money on things that don’t work for independent trainers. That is why I have expanded my reach with this fitness business blog and my fitness blog. It is my specialty that helps others, one person at a time.
Remember, whatever you decide to do, there is a way to make it successful and with your hard work your dreams will come true.
