Lately I have seen a lot of commercials, photos, and instruction on simple ways lose weight in your arms, butt, or thighs.
However, most of what I have seen is garbage!
Is it the fitness industry’s fault or is it what the public wants? It’s almost like a double edged sword. We now live in an immediate gratification society where we need results now!! But with those results are you willing to put in the hard work?
For example…a lot of our thoughts happen in 140 characters (thanks twitter).
So to adjust to that social media habit, I don’t type in paragraphs anymore…
With that our, need for immediate results are constant.
- Phone checking
- Status updates
- Email reading
- blah, blah, blah
The list goes on…
So, last week I was on Pinterest and started seeing soo many pins on:

- 10 core exercise to flatten belly quickly
But, do you ever notice all the people on the covers of these pics and boards look like they just finished a marathon. Not to mention Photoshop, but where are the real people?

OK, so its time to break all this down and take the Red Tape out of getting in shape. If you are like I once was, reading all this propaganda as I sat on my couch 50 pounds overweight thinking, wow that’s all you have to do?
No, that’s not all you have to do?
The truth is, washboard abs are the product of very low body fat. In men around 12-14% and 18% or lower in women.
Aaaand, when you see someone with very low body fat, they are most likely more unhealthy than you. Yep, that hott fitness model is unhealthy!

You can’t spot reduce!
So, if you have a big belly, stop doing sit ups! You will get stronger abs, you just need to get rid of that layer of fat first.

1 Start using weights – Whether you are using weights in the gym or a home workout program using body weight, get started today. Usually the first thing people do is get on a diet. Why? Because it’s the easy way out.
Start a strength training program first!!
2 Get Moving – If you are not walking…walk. If you are walking….run. If you can’t run, swim! What ever you can do to start moving, do it.

3 Prepare your meals – Most of the time when you end up at a fast food joint or restaurant, it is because you are working hard and your body is telling you…Hey, I’m hungry…feed me please!
Most bad food habits are the outcome of habits rather than cravings. Fix the habits and you fix the cravings.
If you fail to plan, you will plan to fail!
Putting these 3 easy ways to lose belly fat fast are simple if you do it right. Start with 1 and add the others a few days or weeks at a time. This way your are less likely to fail and will stick to your plan.
